Collected Works will present Santa Fe local writer Stan Biderman and his latest book The Secularist’s Bible and Other Astonishing Absurdities. The book confronts America’s church-state crisis through the absurdist wisdom of the author, a son of Holocaust survivors who grew up speaking Yiddish with a Texas accent. The book signing event will include a conversation with Biderman and Owen Lipstein.

The Secularist’s Bible is at once an urgent clarion call to secular resistance, an absurdist memoir, and a family history of Holocaust survival—unified by one driving imperative: we must unite to defend our democracy from fundamentalist onslaught.
